Who knows the Big Bass Pomeran? \u2013 a bass shawm from the 15th century. <br>With impressive, creaking sounds, Adrian Rovatkay tells the story of Erwin Schulhoff&#8217;s \u201cBass Nightingale\u201d. <br>Julia Kursawe plays the historical Cello Piccolo while walking. Including the dance as an instrument, she composed two works \u00e0 la \u201cMusica Ricercata\u201d in memory of Gy\u00f6rgy Ligeti and \u201cRicercar al vals lento\u201d especially for this production. <br>Yui Kawaguchi not only lets the lines of the Ricercars from the 16th century flow in moving forms; without further ado she turns the tables and both musicians have to dance to their tune. <br>With the help of diminutions, playfulness and liveliness emerge from simple melodies; a journey through tones, images and emotions, spaces and worlds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert performance was created in 2022 at the same time as the start of the war in Europe, which not least influenced the selection and interpretation of the music. We experience Renaissance Ricercare like a cosmic top view; they convey a feeling of space and invite the listener to think about their own existence.
